One thing I used a lot in AW (I know I must have used it a lot because I keep trying to do it here), was the keyboard key that automatically switched between 1st person and 3rd person (obviously to a preset 3rd person position). I know we have the mouse wheel to do that - and I like that and wouldn't want to lose it, so this would be an additional keyboard option.

The reason I used it a lot is because I like to be in 3rd person when running about and mining but in 1st person when hunting. So if I am mining in an area with mobs I frequently need to quickly switch between 1st and 3rd person, and using the wheel is a bit cumbersome for that.

guess is would be a nice addition to the controls and it would also come in handy when the mouse has no wheel. (must be a old one)

Can remember someone trying it on a laptop without having a mouse and he was not able to zoom out or back in.

Stand still in the game, press C.

Move the view to the desired angle/view, press C again.

Now pressing C switches between 1st person and the angle of view that you moved to above.

Maybe we should have a Tips and Tricks section in the forum under knowledge base to post things like that?

Will look into it for this forum, but guess it will look very nice on the wikipedia.

Guess the wikipedia should be the main source for information, even as this forum not works bad also for the moment.
